Why not use out new touch screen system to let us know you have arrived for your appointment? It’s simple to use and lets you know who you are seeing, at what time and the approximate waiting time. It also lets the receptionists and Doctor know you have arrived.
Having an arrivals kiosk allows you to check in for your appointment quickly and easily. It also reduces queues at the reception desk which allows the receptionists to deal with other more complicated enquiries.
To use the system all you need to do is select whether you want to check in by using your date of birth or your fingerprint.
Before you can use this system you will need to complete a Finger Print Consent Form which can be downloaded from this link.
You will need a pdf reader to view pdf files. The Adobe Acrobat® reader may be downloaded free of charge by clicking on the Adobe icon to the right.
Once you have completed the consent form you will need to bring this into the surgery and have your fingerprint taken. This is a simple, quick and painless procedure. Once completed you can register your arrival by;

How your finger print is stored and who has access to it?
Your finger print is stored as a series of numbers (not as a photo) along side your medical record in a secure and encrypted (i.e. scrambled) format. The surgery are the only people who have access to this information, as with your medical records and these are all subject to the regulations laid down in the Data Protection Act (1998).
If you do not want to register to use the Automated Arrivals System you can still use our services exactly as before. Your decision not to register will not affect your treatment or your relationship with your surgery in any way.
